What is a “First Date?”

A “First Date” is a zero-pressure meeting with Stewart, the architect and owner of Old Alt New, to get to know each other and discuss why you are considering an architect.

Stewart begins any new client relationship or project by listening. Hearing what’s important to you in your own words is the first step.

Scheduling a “First Date” requires a $100 payment. Why does it cost money to sit down and talk for an hour?

  1. A small payment upfront lets Stewart know that you are serious about a potential project

  2. It covers Stewart’s time to meet and write-up the deliverable document afterwards

  3. It gets your project moving forward with recommended next steps and advice

Services Included:

  • for first-time clients

  • approximately a 1-hour conversation to discuss why you're considering an architect

  • a cup of coffee at a local cafe = a great spot for a “First Date,” but we can decide when and where works best for you

  • discuss your big-picture needs/wants/nice-to-haves

  • discuss your potential budget and set some expectations

  • discuss your schedule and a potential timeline for next steps (Feasibility Study, Concept Design(s), Full Architectural Services)

  • learn a little bit about Stewart’s priorities as a designer and see if Old Alt New is the right architecture firm for you

Deliverables:

  • Just a simple one-page document; an organized and strategic definition of what you are looking for that sets the foundation for your potential project.

  • Make sure you’ve been heard and that Stewart understands what matters to you

  • Even if Old Alt New isn't the right match for your needs, you'll have something thoughtful and tangible to take with you and maybe some leads on who to talk to next
